I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in helping teens and adults navigate grief, loss, and the emotional challenges that come with life transitions. My work centers on validating your feelings, responding with empathy, and offering gentle, compassionate support.
I primarily work with individuals who have experienced the death of a loved one, as well as those facing anticipatory grief, complicated grief, or cumulative losses over time. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Having experienced grief firsthand, I understand how deeply it impacts mental, emotional, and physical health. Healing can begin when you feel safe, seen, and supported. I’m passionate about creating a space where you can process pain without pressure to “move on.” With advanced training in grief counseling and trauma-informed care, I tailor treatment to meet you exactly where you are in your grief journey. We will collaborate to set treatment goals that honor your unique experience.
Grief is not something you have to face alone—I am here to support you every step of the way.
C.S. Lewis
Grief is deeply personal, and it doesn’t follow a timeline. Whatever the loss may be, individual therapy offers a space to explore your emotions without judgment.
In grief therapy, we work together to:
Understand the unique ways grief is showing up in your life.
Honor your relationship to what (or who) you’ve lost.
Navigate emotions like sadness, anger, guilt, or numbness.
Develop coping tools to manage daily life while grieving.
Find meaning and connection as you move forward, without pressure to “move on.”
You don’t have to go through this alone. Therapy can be a space to feel, reflect, and heal at your own pace.
COMING SOON:
Grief is hard, especially when it feels like no one else understands what you’re going through. This group will be a space just for teens (13-17) who are grieving a loss.
In this group, they will:
Connect with other teens who get what it’s like.
Share their story (only when they're ready).
Talk about the tough stuff—sadness, anger, guilt, and everything in between.
Learn tools to help them cope at school, at home, and with friends.
Know that grieving doesn’t mean you’re broken.
Led by a licensed therapist, this group is here to help them feel less alone—no pressure, no judgment, just support.
Available in-person or online (so they can join from wherever feels most comfortable).

I am licensed in the state of California and see clients via telehealth statewide or in-person for those residing in the East Bay.

There are a wide range of issues linked with grief and loss, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, stress management, and more. A treatment plan will be developed that meets your unique needs and goals for wellness.
The frequency of sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Some clients may benefit from weekly sessions, while others may attend bi-weekly or monthly.
For the most part, sessions are offered via telehealth on a secure platform. For those living in or around Castro Valley, "walk and talk" sessions are offered on a case-by-case basis.
